The new Salford Circuit was formed from the former
Cadishead and Eccles Circuit and the Salford Circuit on Sunday 31st August 2003 with a service held in the historic
Eccles Parish Church
The First Salford Circuit was formed in 2001 when the Salford group of Churches left the Manchester and Salford Mission circuit and joined with the Swinton Circuit
There were 7 churches in each of the former circuits and the new Circuit stretches from Rixton (Warrington) in the west to Salford in the east (almost on the Manchester boundary)
